The Morning After

The best part about working out has got to be the morning after. Friends, my abs are so sore it hurts to sneeze. In the States, I have spring and autumn allergies; here it is summer that makes me Sneezy. I forgot to take medication yesterday so this morning I have been sniffling and sneezing- and every single sneeze makes me clutch my abs in delighted pain. I may be far from a six pack, but every aching sneeze reminds me that- at least yesterday- I did my part. At least yesterday, I killed it.

Hello! I am still here! We moved into our new house and our furniture should be arriving in the next week or so. I am so looking forward to normal routine! I love our new house and all the shops & farmers market (twice a week!) that is walking distance from my front door; however, it is a good 20 minute drive from the nearest gym. Uhgh. I went this morning and did 15 minutes of cardio, 10 minutes of weights, and 30 minutes of abs. I tried this hanging crunch machine and it was awesome. I have a new favorite exercise. On a side note, the showers at this gym are wonderful- I like them better than my shower at home!Breed: Hanging Tree

I am dog-sitting for a friend for a few weeks. The dog is medium/large and a sweet heart. He and I have
been walking several miles each day. Other than that, my fitness has really declined. I haven’t put on weight (I think all the walking is helping) but I am not in a workout regime that I am comfortable with. I think I am going to have to start working out at home like I used too.

Oh, did I mention my new house has an apple tree? It has an apple tree. I picked about a dozen last night and tomorrow I am making “healthy” apple crisp muffins. And some chicken pot pie. Because I have a craving.

Yoga tonight! I packed yoga clothes so I could work nearby today and be close to my yoga class (it’s at the gym I went to this morning) to save myself the 20 minute drive.
