Day 41

May 18th

Breakfast was a banana with PB and a glass of Almond milk, no snacks, and lunch was some HeartHealthy Mexican style soup. Sodium on soup is not the greatest, but I’ll  be sure to drink lots of water to make up for it.

The weather is warming up, which is awful, but summer does have a perk: SWIMMING. My PT (physical therapist) said swimming was a perfect workout for me because it is low impact on my legs, yet burns calories like mad. Love it, love it. Bring is, hot weather, I’m ready. Too bad I’m not bikini-ready.

Okay, fitness plan time. Since I can’t run, I need to modify my plan from when I originally started this blog. I walk with Emily (dog) 3-4 times a day, for 5-10 minutes each time, that is 15-40 minutes of brisk walking a day, HOWEVER I am not going to include that in the fitness plan because I feel like I am crediting it too much. I believe an alternating routine of Jillian Michaels workouts + elliptical machine would be healthy and effective. For next week I will try this schedule:

 Monday:
     5:45 a.m.    Jillian Michaels’ “Yoga Meltdown” — 30 minutes
6:00 p.m.   Elliptical machine– 30 minutes
Tuesday:
5:45 a.m.    Jillian Micheals’ “Trouble Zone Kickboxing”— 20 minutes
**Evening Workout replaced by Physical Therapy**
Wednesday:
5:45 a.m.    Jillian Michaels’ “30 Day Shred”— 30 minutes
6:00 p.m.   Elliptical Machine– 30 minutes
Thursday:
5:45 a.m.    Jillian Michaels’ “Rock Solid Abs”— 30 minutes
6:00 p.m.   Elliptical Machine– 30 minutes
Friday:
     5:45 a.m.    Jillian Michaels’ “Trouble Zone Kickboxing”— 20 minutes
**Have an evening meeting, should be home in time for a late night workout**
7:30 p.m.    Elliptical Machin– 30 minutes

I pinky promise to stick to this plan. It is only one week and even if I hate it, I can suffer through one week. Just five days.

Now, to meal plan for the week and do some grocery shopping. Lately, I’ve been trying to cut carbs- something new for me. Let’s see what I can do.

Oh, my next scheduled workout is tonight, elliptical machine- HARD- for 30 minutes. 

Tomorrow is Sunday, which I think will be my designated “rest day”- that is what Sunday’s are anyway, A Day of Rest.
